Welcome! My name is Ashley Till, and I have been a registered counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association for over 13 years. I am a Level 1 and 2 trained Gottman couples Therapist. Over the years, I have acquired experience working with individuals, couples, and families. I am passionate about working with individuals and couples experiencing infertility and the many challenges that go alongside that journey. Another area of interest I have is supporting clients transitioning into parenthood, parenting stressors, and challenges. In addition to the above, I have experience supporting clients with anxiety, minor depression, anger management, woman’s issues, stress, peer relationships, work relationships, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum, family conflict, and divorce.

Effective counselling supports a balance in overall mental health and physical well-being. I work from a person-centred, strengths-based approach, using techniques and strategies from Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Gottman’s couple’s theories, to cultivate an opportunity for growth and change. Counselling can be fun and truly needs a balance of doing the hard work of being honest with oneself and moving towards change, with a mix of playfulness and laughter. I take great honour in hearing clients’ stories and being chosen as their counselling support to help process past/present/future challenges and stressors. Together attainable goals are created, and practical strategies implemented and practiced in working towards optimum mental health and long-term life satisfaction!”

Welcome! My name is Marcus, and I work here as a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC). My formal education includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor of Kinesiology. I work with teens and adults through a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, bipolar disorder and more.

After playing elite sports at university, national and professional levels, I gained a special passion for working with high performers such as athletes, professionals, or entrepreneurs to develop the skills required to thrive in all environments. I have worked extensively with trauma, and I have specialized trainings in trauma, Indigenous culture, and traditional Nordic and Celtic healing practices. I am happy to incorporate spirituality or culture for those individuals who find it supportive to their healing.

I want you to arrive at a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I set the intention that we will have fun, learn, and grow together because every counselling experience is unique and special, just like you are. I believe that you have the power to create your own reality and I would be honoured to support you on this journey of discovery.

I work from a trauma informed, holistic perspective that looks at the entire human being (not just the symptoms) including the interactions of the mind, body, and external environment which create your overall health. I utilize science-based approaches of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Experiencing and Mindfulness-based therapy to support transforming your goals and aspirations into realities.

I love helping clients from all lifestyles problem solve and create a path towards the future they want to live. I have a passion for working with individuals (ages 16+), couples and families. Additionally, supporting First Responders is an honor, as my background is in Criminal Justice, specifically within Corrections.

Sessions will take a strength-based approach, focusing on resourcefulness, inner strengths, and including clients in their own treatment. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) may also inform my practice, and I am trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). If you are looking to process trauma, I also have training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in 2019. Before starting my journey as a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I spent 2.5 years post-graduation, working as a mental health and addictions counsellor while living in a small and remote community in the Northwest Territories. Through this experience, I was able to work with a diverse population experiencing a wide range of presenting issues. Therapy can be a scary (and courageous!) step to take for your wellness. I work to understand your life through your perspective, as this is after all, your journey. You bring unique experiences, values, strengths, and knowledge to therapy that deserve to be respected and honored. I strive to establish a safe, non-judgmental space for you throughout your therapeutic process. I use a trauma informed, strengths-based approach to treatment which means that I tailor counseling and treatment to your individual needs, while focusing on your skills. I incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy interventions to help you (or your young one) gain awareness and work towards your goals. I have additional EMDR training as an EMDR-Child Specialist and Level 1 Play Therapy training. I work with children, adolescents, and teenagers, ages 4 and up, and adults. A few things about me: • There is never a season where I find it to be too cold for iced coffee. • I am a novice photographer and my favorite subject is the Northern Lights. • My guilty pleasure is reality TV.
